MCP is the piece of SITEBORNE’s Agent Systems work that ages best: because it is an open protocol rather than a single vendor’s proprietary format, a server built for Claude today keeps working as more clients adopt the standard. SITEBORNE designs every MCP tool with a typed contract, a failure path, and a human-approval boundary before deployment—an untested prompt wrapped in a server is not treated as a finished integration.

Intended use: A local or remote MCP server that gives Claude, Claude Code, or another compatible client narrowly scoped access to a business's approved tools and data.
Best-fit user: Teams already working in Claude or Claude Code who want a repeatable, typed way to connect it to real business systems.
Important limitation: MCP is a protocol, not a hosting platform—someone still has to build, deploy, secure, and maintain the server itself.
Security or privacy: Each tool should carry its own permission boundary; a single overprivileged tool defeats the purpose of scoping the rest.
Free-tier status: Not a Cloudflare allowance; the protocol itself is open and free, though hosting the server still consumes compute.
Commercial use: The Model Context Protocol specification is open; commercial use of a self-built server is unrestricted by the protocol itself.

Alternative: A directly hard-coded integration—viable for a single client, but it does not generalize the way a typed MCP server does.
Migration concern: A well-scoped MCP server is inherently portable across any compatible client; the risk is usually an under-documented server, not the protocol.
